Improve client retention: case studies presented by Stephanie Notaras APD

Reflective practice and advancing your counselling skills for better client retention and results

When a client is struggling to change and rescheduling or cancelling appointments, as dietitians it can really impact our confidence. In her previous presentation Stephanie offered a framework for improving client retention. Now we are witnessing reflective practice in action. Stephanie introduces reflective practice questions and weaves them into case study reflections including supporting a supervisee with a challenging case.

Learn about:

  • The value of reflective practice in your practice
  • How the goal of reflective practice is introspection, not projection
  • Focusing on what you can control

This presentation covers:

  • Reflective practice questions to ask yourself when a client is struggling to change and rescheduling or cancelling appointments
  • Follow up session counselling strategies to boost client engagement, their confidence for change, better results and retention in your practice
  • Witness a supervisor and supervisee work through a case study of a relatable clinical challenge
