Female lifespan. Presented by Unna Goldsworthy AEP
Moving into female-specific exercise science for female-specific outcomes
Within a month, and throughout a lifetime, a female’s body experiences a dynamic rhythm of changes that impact in physical, emotional and energetic ways. As we move forward with a spotlight on female specific science, we can harness the potential of these fluctuations, conceiving them as great strengths in contributing to a woman’s capacity to move and take care of her health.
Unna carries us through the female lifespan-puberty, reproductive, perimenopause and post-menopause. In each phase, key physical and psychosocial developments are drawn out and linked to relevant prescription considerations. The density of ideas that are signposted is significant, there is a lot to explore here if one wishes; and yet, rather than overwhelm, the audience is brought confidently to an awe and an understanding of the possibilities of using a female-specific lens.
Unna has created content that is most impactful, in terms of inspiring an understanding of what our profession can do differently to recognise and respond to the needs of the women we work with. Her turn of phrase and efficient delivery carries volumes of meaning while allowing space for your own curiosity and for your truth to take shape.
Unna Goldsworthy is a context seeking exercise physiologist who refines meaningful research to share about female physiology and anatomy. Within the work environment, Unna Movement creates space to consider female health and its unique physiology, allowing science to guide ideas and unique stories that create refined decisions.
