An approach to trauma-informed prescription presented by Samantha Cameron, AEP
Guided reflection: incorporating trauma-informed care into your movement practice
Trauma-informed care challenges us to meet clients where they are, adapting not only our programming, but also our communication, our environment, and our presence. Drawing from her clinical work and trauma-informed yoga expertise, Samantha Cameron (AEP, Yoga Teacher) demonstrates how trauma-aware frameworks can be applied practically in one-on-one and group exercise settings. Through three detailed case studies, she invites us to examine examples of practice, revealing how thoughtful planning, client collaboration, and practitioner interoception create opportunities for safer movement spaces. Movement itself can be a deeply vulnerable and we are well place to bring thoughtful support to this experience.
