Jenelle Loeliger and Belinda Steer (Heads of Nutrition and Speech Pathology) from The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne are presenting a two part series on the fundamentals of nutrition and cancer: how dietitians can help cancer patients in hospital.  

Every week Janelle and Belinda receive queries from dietitians Australia wide. These webinars are designed to answer the common queries we have about nutrition and cancer.

The presentation will cover:

  • Inpatients, day therapies, radiotherapy, specialist/outpatient clinics
  • The essential tools and tips: nutrition screening, triage, assessment tools and interventions

About the Presenter

Belinda Steer is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with more than 10 years’ experience as a clinical dietitian. She is the Head of Nutrition and Speech Pathology at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne. Belinda is passionate about working in oncology and making the journey for oncology patients an easier one. Over the past few years she has focused on malnutrition, including implementing new processes for malnutrition screening, assessment and management, and leading state-wide projects related to malnutrition. Much of this work has led to her presenting at state and national conferences, as well as being published in peer-reviewed journals.
