About the Presenter

Dr Kate Marsh is an Advanced Accredited Practicing Dietitian and Credentialled Diabetes Educator, with a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics and PhD in nutrition from the University of Sydney.   She works in private practice in Sydney and has a particular interest in diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and plant-based eating.  Kate completed her PhD at the University of Sydney with Professor Jennie Brand-Miller looking at the role of low GI diets in women with PCOS. She is the coordinator of the DAA PCOS Discussion Group, a member of the Australian PCOS Alliance and was a member of the Lifestyle Management and Models of Care Guideline Development Group (GDG) for the International evidence-based guideline for the assessment and management of PCOS.  Kate is also co-author of The Low GI Guide to Managing PCOS and has published articles on PCOS in a number of nutrition and medical journals and textbooks.   www.drkatemarsh.com.au
