About the presenter
Professor Peter Gibson is the Head of the Gastroenterology Department at Monash University’s Central Clinical School, which is co-located with the Alfred Hospital. Previously he was Head of the Eastern Health Clinical School.
Peter has a research background in epithelial cell biology. Today he runs a large research program, and has active clinical interests in inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease and irritable bowel syndrome. A major focus of his work is the use of diet to control gut symptoms and influence outcomes in chronic intestinal conditions.
