About the Presenters

Amanda Benham completed her Master’s at Queensland University of Technology and has been an Accredited Practising Dietitian since 1992. Her special area of interest is vegan nutrition, particularly planning nutritionally adequate plant-based diets for vegans at all life stages as well as their application as a treatment option for Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. As well as publishing in the area of planning plant-based diets, Amanda has co-written a vegan cookbook, Greenilicious (Arbon Publishing). Amanda has been a vegan since 1983 and her two adult children are lifelong vegans.

Lucy Taylor is a Melbourne-based Accredited Practising Dietitian working in private practice, Bloom Nutrition and Diet Solutions. Lucy has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne (majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) and a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Sydney. Lucy specialises in plant-based (vegan and vegetarian) nutrition. She is an advocate of whole food, plant-based diets that minimise processed foods, and works within a network of medical and allied health practitioners who support the use of the diet for chronic disease management. Lucy maintains a blog providing evidence-based plant-based nutrition advice and recipes (bloomnutritionist.com).
