About the Presenter
Surbhi Sood is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Graduate Researcher currently undertaking her PhD at Deakin University. Her work focuses on advancing nutritional health through evidence-based dietary interventions to manage chronic conditions such as metabolic dysfunction associated fatty liver disease, obesity, and diabetes.
Her doctoral research is conducted within multiethnic cohorts, with a particular emphasis on dietary patterns such as the Mediterranean diet, the use of digital health tools, and collaboration across healthcare disciplines to better understand and address the complex interactions between diet and metabolic health. Surbhi is passionate about translational research, ensuring her findings inform clinical practice and contribute to real-world improvements in patient care.
Alongside her academic work, Surbhi practices as a clinical dietitian in a medical setting, applying medical nutrition therapy and evidence-based approaches to support individuals in achieving optimal health outcomes.
