About the Presenter

Associate Professor Ken Sikaris is a science and medicine graduate of Melbourne University, where he is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology. He works as a chemical pathologist at Melbourne Pathology, which performs more than 2000 cholesterol blood tests every day. Ken has been involved in cholesterol research since working in the lipid reference laboratory and consulting in the lipid clinic at St Vincent’s Hospital in the early 1990s. He believes we need to improve our understanding of cholesterol measurements and the impact of diet on these measurements
