The case:
The International Dysphagia Diet Standard Initiative (IDDSI) is a global initiative which standardises the terminology and definitions of texture modified foods and thickened liquids. Australia is set to implement IDDSI by May 2019. In some areas of New Zealand the implementation has already begun. Julia will present on her experiences implementing IDDSI at her workplace.

About the Presenter
Julia Scott is a New Zealand registered dietitian who specialises in food service. She is the national dietitian for the Arvida group who have 29 aged care facilities throughout New Zealand. They provide meals to over 1700 people in aged care, including a significant number of texture modified meals. Julia has taken a proactive role in implementing the International Dysphagia Diet Standard Initiative at her workplace
