About the Presenter
Claire Julsing Strydom is a registered dietitian and co-founder of one of the largest dietetics practices in South Africa, Nutrition Solutions. She is past president of the Association for Dietetics (South Africa) and is currently serving on the International Confederation of Dietitians (ICD) organising committee that will host the ICD 2020 Conference in Cape Town this September.
Since Claire completed her Master of Science Degree in Dietetics (University of the Free State), she has presented nutrition educational content to health professionals both locally and internationally. This has included developing and implementing interactive nutrition education initiatives for numerous schools, including the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy.
An expert within the corporate wellness space, Claire has also developed nutrition intervention programs for local businesses and multinationals; she’s a regular consultant for food and pharmaceutical industries around the world.
Her media and communication skills have led her to host many health-related television and radio shows, and she regularly contributes to magazine publications.
Claire Julsing Strydom is registered with the Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA), and is a member of the Association for Dietetics in South Africa (ADSA) and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in the USA.
