Cystic Fibrosis: Part 2

30 Nov, 2017

Putting the new Nutrition Guidelines for Cystic Fibrosis in Australia and New Zealand into practice using case studies

Thursday, November 30, 2017, 10.00am to 11.00am AEDT

The presentation will cover:

Andrea and Natalie present two case studies in cystic fibrosis describing how to put the new Nutrition Guidelines for Cystic Fibrosis in Australia and New Zealand into practice.

Case studies provide a sound basis for developing  problem-solving and clinical decision making skills. They can help organise and clarify difficult client situations and apply theory to our clinical practice.

Watching this presentation and completing the assessment can contribute towards assessable Continuing Professional Development hours.

About the Presenter

The hospital provides care for over 220 infants, children and adolescents with CF and their families. More recently, Andrea was involved in the revision of the NHMRC approved 2017 Nutrition Guidelines for Cystic Fibrosis in Australia & New Zealand. As part of the authorship group and a project facilitator, Andrea has presented, promoted and launched these guidelines at the 2017 European, Australasian and North American Cystic Fibrosis Conferences.
