Meet Reg, a 63yr old man with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes.
The case:
Reg is a 63 year old man recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. He has been referred to Robyn for dietary advice. In this case study Robyn explains her nutritional assessment, strategies employed and how Reg works on lifestyle changes to manage his diabetes. Robyn includes a discussion on the rational for target HbA1c levels.

About the Presenter
Robyn qualified as a Dietitian in 1985, first working in Melbourne and rural Victoria, to gain broad clinical experience.
She worked at Diabetes UK for 4 years, returning to Australia to work as a Senior Dietitian at the International Diabetes Institute in Melbourne for 14 years.
Over recent years Robyn has worked at Austin Health, Barwon Health and Deakin University in clinical nutrition and research in the areas of obesity prevention and nutrition for general Practitioners. Areas of expertise and interest include type 1 and 2 diabetes, gastrointestinal health (in particular coeliac disease and IBS), eating disorders and is also an accredited Type 1 Diabetes DAFNE (Dosage Adjustment For Normal Eating) program facilitator.
