About the presenter
Dr Sue Shepherd is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian and is recognised internationally for her work in the dietary management of gastrointestinal conditions, including coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease and irritable bowel syndrome. Dr Shepherd developed the “low FODMAP diet”, now recognised internationally as the primary dietary therapy for the management of irritable bowel syndrome. Dr Shepherd, who has coeliac disease, has written seven best-selling gluten-free/low FODMAP cookbooks, is an invited speaker to many national and international conferences, and is the dietitian representative on numerous medical advisory boards. Dr Shepherd is the director of Shepherd Works, a dietitian consulting practice that employs 12 dietitians. She is a senior lecturer in dietetics and human nutrition, LaTrobe University in Victoria.
