About the presenter
Dr Michelle Harvie is an award-winning research dietitian based at the Genesis Breast Cancer Prevention Centre, University Hospital of South Manchester. For the past 18 years she has specialised in optimum diet and exercise strategies for weight loss and preventing breast cancer and its recurrence. Her findings have been published in many major scientific journals. In 2005, she was awarded the British Dietetic Association Rose Simmonds Award for best published dietetic research for her paper on weight gain among breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy. She has also been awarded the Manchester City Council.
