About the Presenter

Joy Anderson has been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant since 1991 and has been an active voluntary Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) counsellor since 1987, work that was recognised in 2013 when she was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for her service to the community. For about 12 years, she worked part-time as a lactation consultant in private practice as well as devoting much time to ABA. In 2008, she qualified as an Accredited Practising Dietitian from Curtin University of Technology, WA. Joy is interested in all aspects of infant feeding and food intolerances, and in particular adverse food reactions in breastfed babies. Joy has recently released a book, Food-Sensitive Babies: Dietary Investigation for Breastfed Babies, which is available via her website, dieteticsandlactation.com.au.
