About the presenter

Sudha Raj is an associate professor and graduate program director in the Department of Public Health, Food Studies and Nutrition at Syracuse University, New York. Dr Raj obtained her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Nutrition and Dietetics in India. She completed her PhD in Nutrition Science at Syracuse University in 1991. Her current research interests are in the area of dietary acculturation, organic foods, cultural competency, vegetarianism as well as integrative and functional nutrition. Dr Raj is a registered dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has served as chair and newsletter editor for the American Dietetic Association’s Vegetarian Nutrition interest group and is chair for the association’s Vegetarian Nutrition Evidence Based Analysis Work Group.
